Path Perilous…My Ten Year Pilgrimage

I spent ten years of my youth on a penniless pilgrimage seeking God and the miraculous. Surrendering my mind and ego to the mystical Cloud of Unknowing, my autobiography shows glimpses of who I’ve become in my 60-year unwavering quest to discover the I AM within each of us. A dozen years in the writing, it captures my daring adventures and explains my observations with historical timelines, biographies, and biblical references in endnotes.

Wisdom, wealth, and wellness: these I gleaned from my travels … the essential triquetra of life. Without all three, we fall short of life’s abundance. My essays express these three principles with human interest stories and personal insights. Readers can feast on a cornucopia of essays such as the Engima of Time (Science), Death (Mysticism), Castrati (Religion), A General Lee Lookalike (Compassion), Secret Stash (Money), Bogart’s Hug (Pets), Blackboard Jungle (Education), and My Ticket to Heaven (Suffering). Soon, a book will compile over 300 hundred blog essays published by New Oxford Review, along with several deemed too controversial for its readers.

As a graduate engineer, I pondered the competition between scientism and spiritualism. The pigeon homing instinct versus GPS, etc. It annoyed me that a simple duck could outperform our best amphibian military vehicles. It bothered me that Nature had quietly engineered that marvelous creature without much ado . . . no labyrinth laboratories, no $billions for arcane research, no peer review articles . . . a sobering, scary realization that Mankind’s things are but mere child’s play. That opened the door to adventurous speculations far beyond what men usually ponder. I am engaged in writing Path Perilous, my autobiography describing a personal Star Trek  . . . “going where no man has gone before.”

The old mill stream keeps churning my creative gears and grinds out new essays. To receive these hot off the press, or for advanced notice of my imminent publications, please type your email address.
