The Masters

It all began in ancient Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics in 776 B.C. To the Greeks, Olympic competitions were not just about winning; they were also religious festivals dedicated to their chief god, Zeus, and founded by his son, the amazing athlete Hercules.

Religiously, the original Olympics represented that difficult path to spiritual purity, which the Greeks believed required sexual abstinence.

The 2024 Summer Olympics  officially the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad  is scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 in France,

Some physical athletes, but not all, abstain from sex for awhile to increase their mental focus for champion scores, as Tiger Woods.

Then there are spiritual athletes called saints who by mastering their sexual drive emulate Christ to receive imperishable crowns.

“And every man that strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we, an incorruptible.”1 Cor.9:25
