Looks like the US HOUSE is in its last lap, and the Republicans are closing in on 221, heading for a three-member margin. Five of the seven have over 80% vote tally levels making 218 a slam dunk. The Republicans controlling the House means a clean sweep. Huge ramifications for unstoppable power drastically changing society.

The political pendulum, departed from its extreme left pose, is swinging through its equilibrium point, to the far right. The last fifty years, after the invention of the birth control pill, has been one of liberal/libertine social mores. Back in the fifties, the Catholic Church rated Hollywood movies, but that proved useless to stop rampant sex scenes. Altar boys and their priests mimicked them. Corruption’s moral rot got found in high places.

Now all we get to worry about is the Margaret Atwood prophecy, The Handmaid’s Tale, coming true during the next fifty years of ‘radical right’ rulership. Then, We the People deprived of human rights will revolt again — not if but when ‘Absolute power corrupts absolutely.’

Human nature never changes.
