This map of the U.S. in 1861 is amazingly similar to our present 2023 cultural division whereby the Blue states would abolish slavery to outdated moral traditions that are still supported by the Red states.

The current conflict boils down to sexual conduct: safeguarding the individual’s inalienable constitutional right to indulge in pornography, transgenderism, sodomy, abortion, or prostitution–the oldest profession.
Blue States (Liberals) contend a person has free will to choose aborting her own fetus and indulge in any sexually-oriented conduct, as long as it doesn’t harm other people. Thus, choosing to commit fetal abortion is not murder. Red States (Conservatives) believe that sex is not a private affair and will intimately affect others morally and materially.
As an example of how confusng the law can get, if a robber kills a woman who happens to be six days pregnant, and her unborn fetus dies, the state can legally prosecute it as a double homicide. A six-day fetus in not considered a human being in most states. So, why is it a double murder?
But if that same woman were to have previously aborted her unborn fetus, she would not have been charged with murder. She could rest her defense on the contention that a fetus without a heart beat is not human, and she has a constituional right to do as she sees fit with her own body.
Conservatives would argue, “Well, what did you expect would be born if not a human . . a chicken or an ape? Of course, a human! It’s not natural to abort your child. Your body and fetus belong to your Creator, not you?”
Liberals would be able to retort with the recent discovery by zoologists of wild Gelada moneys biochemically aborting their fetuses when frightened of Alphas taking over a troop who’d kill infants not from their own seed.
